Refers to the values and beliefs that give us a sense of purpose in life
Spiritual wellness refers to the core dimension of you, your innermost self, and includes
recognizing our search for meaning and purpose of existence and developing an appreciation
for life and the natural forces that exist in the universe. It can be nurtured or
cultivated through prayer, meditation, time in the natural world, deep listening and
self reflection.
Ask Yourself
Am I taking the time to determine what values and beliefs are important to me? Have
I considered talking to others about those values and beliefs?
Do I make time for mindfulness, meditation or prayer?
If I have experienced loss, how have I done so?
If I belong to a religious community, how am I connected to this group?
Do I show respect and consideration for the beliefs and traditions of others?
