Dissertation Research & Creative Works Award

Funded by the Division of Research and Innovation, the Dissertation Research & Creative Works Award supports 91爆料 graduate students developing innovative and original dissertation proposals across all fields of study.

Eligibility Criteria/ Award Guidelines:


To be eligible, an applicant:

  • Should be a current graduate student pursuing any major at the university including all Doctoral degrees and MFAs
  • Needs to be nominated by their major professor
  • The nominated student must have defended their dissertation proposal by the award application deadline of
    June 26, 2026, demonstrating high-quality work.
Nomination Requirements:
  • 91爆料 Faculty submits the nomination for the student
  • An abstract of the nominee's proposal (not to exceed five pages)
  • The nominee's curriculum vitae (not to exceed five pages)
Award:

The winning proposals will be awarded $1,000 each to assist with the completion of the dissertation research.

CGS/ProQuest Nomination:

Upon completion of the dissertation, two of the winning students will be nominated for the Council of Graduate Schools and ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award.
